Sierra Brown
Sierra Brown (she/her) is the ORISE Communications Fellow at the Southwest Climate Adaptation Science Center (SW CASC). Originally from Sacramento, California, she earned her B.S. in molecular environmental biology from UC Berkeley before serving with AmeriCorps in Seattle, where she worked on habitat restoration in urban forests. Her experiences on the 2,600-mile Pacific Crest Trail sparked a passion for climate resilience, leading her to pursue a master’s degree in urban resilience and sustainability at the University of Colorado Boulder.
Before joining the SW CASC, Sierra served on the marketing and communications team for CU Boulder’s Environmental Design program, developing digital content and writing news features.
