Pamela Claure
Pamela is a PhD candidate at Utah State University, specializing in sustainable watershed management. Her research integrates groundwater insights and open-source modeling tools to enhance water resource planning in Utah’s Great Salt Lake Basin. She critically examines conventional water management models, which often oversimplify groundwater interactions, and assesses the advantages of open-source models over commercial alternatives. By emphasizing scientific reproducibility and collaborative problem-solving, Pamela aims to improve decision-making processes in hydrology. Through her work, she aims to bridge the gap between hydrologic science and practical application, with the goal of enhancing decision-making processes and fostering more effective and sustainable water resource management.
