Fausto Durazo

Fausto Durazo is the Communications and Podcast Assistant at the Southwest Climate Adaptation Science Center (SW CASC), where he helps bring climate science to life through storytelling that connects research to real people and real places across the Southwest. With a background rooted in film, audio, and digital media, he works at the intersection of creativity and science communication crafting social media visuals, short-form videos, newsletter copy, web content, and event promotions. 

His background includes work as a social media manager, producer, and multimedia consultant, with experience spanning commercial marketing, nonprofit storytelling, and festival production. From editing short films and producing university campaigns to supporting teams at Film Fest Tucson and Sundance, he brings a dynamic toolset shaped by both creative practice and hands-on media production.

Fausto, currently completing a Master's in Science in Marketing, holds a B.A. in Film and Television from the University of Arizona, with a minor in Business Administration. Passionate about environmental communication and inclusive storytelling, he’s excited to help elevate SW CASC’s mission by showing how climate adaptation science is already making a difference and why these stories matter now more than ever.
