SW CASC Pauses to Remember Dr. Thomas Meixner

As part of the University of Arizona’s plans to remember Dr. Thomas Meixner, the Southwest Climate Adaptation Science Center will be pausing all mass communications during the period from 5 p.m. on Tuesday, October 3 through the end of the day Friday, October 6 in his honor. 

The death of Professor Meixner on October 5, 2022 was a profound loss which left a lasting impact on the University of Arizona community, his colleagues around the world, and all who knew him. 

A public remembrance event will take place at the St. Thomas More Catholic Newman Center, 1615 E. 2nd Street in Tucson from 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with a service at noon. Mental health support is also available to University students and employees through Counseling and Psych Services.
