Obama Proposes Climate Change Resilience Fund

Feb. 27, 2014

As part of his 2015 budget, to be released next month, President Obama will propose a $1 billion climate change resilience fund, reports The Washington Times. The fund is designed to encourage research and fund new technologies aimed at better preparing communities and infrastructure for the impacts of climate change. The administration expects the fund to “be supported across all parts of the country” as the need to be prepared for severe weather is evident everywhere.
