Mojan Sharafi
Mojan Sharafi is a Master of Architecture student at UCLA with a background in architectural and industrial engineering. Her interdisciplinary research focuses on climate resilience, particularly wildfire evacuation modeling, water scarcity, and how design can serve vulnerable communities. Originally from Iran, Mojan brings a global and community-centered perspective to environmental justice work. She currently supports wildfire-related projects as a Graduate Student Researcher at the B. John Garrick Institute for the Risk Sciences. Through the NRWD Fellowship, Mojan hopes to deepen her technical understanding of community adaptation strategies and strengthen her ability to contribute to policy-informed, human-centered climate research. She looks forward to learning from peers across disciplines and applying this knowledge to create meaningful real-world impact through research, design, and advocacy.
