SW CASC Partners to Attend the 2019 National Adaptation Forum

From April 23-25, adaptation researchers and practitioners from around the country will gather in Madison, WI to learn more about how to make their work climate smart, share what they have learned with others, and develop a stronger network to be climate savvy in all that they do. The National Adaptation Forum (NAF), which only meets every two years, is the most important adaptation conference in the U.S. and is a great chance to meet with other adaptation specialists, including tribal and federal professionals.

Many SW CASC partners will be attending and presenting at NAF:

1. Stephen Jackson (SW CASC USGS Director) is co-organizing the session, “Linking the science of ecological transformation to RAD decisions”;
2. Carolyn Enquist (SW CASC USGS Deputy Director) is co-organizing the session, “Adaptation under Uncertainty: Advances in Scenario Planning for Adaptation Professionals”;
3. Tamara Wall (SW CASC Researcher from Desert Research Institute) is presenting in the session, “Collaboration and Adaptation Across Worldviews: case studies in co-producing and implementing science for management”;
4. Gregg Garfin (SW CASC University Director), Sarah LeRoy (SW CASC Science Communications Coordinator), and Althea Walker (SW CASC Tribal Climate Adaptation Science Liaison) will also be attending the Forum.
