The Affiliated Tribes of Northwest Indians, Navajo Technical University, Institute for Tribal Environmental Professionals, and the Northwest, Southwest, and South Central Climate Adaptation Science Centers are now accepting applications for the 2023 Tribal Climate Camp!
The goals of the Climate Camp are centered around understanding the sensitivity of Native groups to climate change and building the capacity of Tribal leader teams to be resilient in the face of climate impacts within their Tribes. Knowledge of climate science and/or work focused on climate, is not required to attend. The learning objectives of the Tribal Climate Camp include building a foundation of climate science knowledge and fostering the capacity for collaboration on climate and adaptation work within Tribes, and with partner agencies and organizations.
This is the 5th Tribal Climate Camp and will take place March 12-18, 2023 in Ghost Ranch, New Mexico. Delegations of 3-4 people from Tribes and/or Tribal organizations in any geographical region of the United States are welcome to attend. Applications can be found on the Tribal Climate Camp website and are due January 12, 2023.
